The NHL is a pathetic league!!

I was just listening to sports talk radio(yes I love this stuff), it was 98.5 the sports hub. A couple of the hosts were talking about the hit to the head Marc Savard received from the Boston Bruins from one of the Pittsburgh Penguins player. The hosts, and most fans who call in, think the bruins should retaliate in some way, shape, or form. The reason why I feel the NHL is pathetic is because they are making tonights game into an "event", because of the possible fighting that might happen on the ice. The NHL is so desperate for an audience, they will do what they can to make money off of tonight's Bruins vs. Penguins game with television ratings. If any retaliation should have happened whatsoever, it should have taken place immediately after Savard got hit. Ever since the NHL rules changed, basically following the 04-05 lockout, the NHL lost a vast majority of its fan base. If they want to reclaim their place as one of the major hockey leagues in North America, they need to make some drastic changes to their rules.
